Adult Aquatic Skill Development

Adult Swim Classes (15+ y/o)

Swim Basics: Stages 1, 2, & 3
Adults will learn personal water safety and achieve basic swimming competency by learning benchmark skills, including floating, sequencing a front glide, roll, back float, roll, front glide, and exit, as well as a jump, push, turn, and grab.
Session: Any
Day & Time: Wednesdays, 8-8:45 a.m.
Fee: Members $64, Community $85

Swim Strokes: Stages 4, 5 & 6
Having mastered the fundamentals, adults will learn additional water safety skills and build stroke technique, developing skills that prevent chronic disease, increase social-emotional and cognitive well-being, and foster a lifetime of physical activity.

Day & Time: Mondays, 5:15-6 p.m.
Fee: Members $64, Community $85

Masters Organized Group Workout

Join Pam Torrey, a Maine Masters swimmer, for a fun and challenging adult aquatic skill development group workout on Saturday mornings. Improve your speed and endurance. Workouts are adapted for swimmers of different abilities and experience, but one should be able to swim 1,500 yards comfortably.

Day & Time: Saturdays, 7:30-8:30 a.m.
Fee: Members FREE, Community $15

Private Swim Lessons

Our instructors can help overcome apprehension, improve technique, or assist in developing a plan for endurance swimming. Classes are 30 minutes and scheduled by appointment.

Ages: 15+
Fee: Members $30/half hour, Community $45/half hour
Members $75 for 3 lessons, Community $120 for 3 lessons
