Did you know that the YMCA is a volunteer run organization? The organization is staff driven by the Executive Director, but the position is hired by our volunteer board of directors. Nationally, the YMCA can claim around 430,000 volunteers in over 2000 YMCA's!
Volunteers are an important part of the Bath Area Family YMCA. They participate in every aspect of Association work from developing policy and programs to coaching teams, timing at swim meets, assisting with child care, facilities maintenance, landscaping, staffing the café, and helping with special events. Volunteers are an important link to the community, giving feedback and improving services. We have many volunteer opportunities available to suit most schedules. If you have questions about volunteering at the Y, call Francie (x29) or fill out a volunteer application.
Volunteer Statistics from our YMCA
In 2010 at the Bath Area Family YMCA 321individuals volunteered 12,778 hours helping with swim & gymnastics meets, programs, boards and committees, fundraisers, special events and administrative help.
We have something to fit your schedule!
