Maine AllCare Lunch and Learn
Wednesday, April 4 @ Noon-1 p.m.
Members & Community FREE
Dr. Bill Clark, a retired internist in Brunswick, with colleagues from Maine AllCare, will lead a discussion about healthcare in Maine-our problems and what we can do to fix it. In this participatory session, we will listen to, and learn from each other. We will explore the very serious present healthcare issues, as well as anticipate concerns and questions about possible system change.
Is publicly funded, universal coverage sensible for a state like Maine? Is this socialism? Who pays for it; would doctors and other providers flee from Maine; would people flock to Maine to get healthcare? Would businesses suffer- what about the Maine economy? What can we learn from examples both here at home and abroad?
Bring a brown bag and relax with others in the Landing Y’s spacious and comfortable conference area. We will show short videos, explain Maine AllCare, what AllCare advocates, and how AllCare is moving forward on behalf of everyone in Maine- right now and in the future.
