Gymnastics training increases strength and flexibility, enhancing performance and preventing injury in any sport. In addition to being a sport itself, gymnastics is often used as cross training for other sports like martial arts, swimming, diving, and dance.
Whether you train in gymnastics to compete, cross-train, or just for fun and exercise, the self-discipline, self-confidence, individual responsibility, and sense of teamwork you gain from gymnastics training are positive character skills that carry over into all life endeavors.
YMCA gymnastics classes begin at the preschool level (ages 3-5) and progress through youth level classes and on to team competition, depending on skill level and interest.

Children ages 2-5 will be introduced to all appropriate gymnastics equipment in a structured, non-intimidating environment. For children ages 2-3, parents must be present during classes. For children ages 4-5, parent involvement is encouraged, but not required.
Session 1: July 16-20

Youth Mini Camp
Budding gymnasts or those with a casual interest in the sport will enjoy this camp. Athletes will use all equipment and will be taught handsprings on the floor, jumps on the beam, squats on the vault, and back hip circles on the bars. All abilities welcome! Gymnasts should plan on bringing a snack every day.
Session 1: July 2-6, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, 9 a.m. to Noon
Session 2: July 16-20, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9 a.m. to Noon
Session 3: July 23-27, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9 a.m. to Noon
Age: Grades K-6
Fee: Members & Community $100
Athletes considering participation in competitive gymnastics will benefit from a week at this camp. Motivated athletes will practice back walk overs, handsprings, pullovers at the bar, and more advanced skills. Gymnasts who are motivated and possess the necessary skills are encouraged to attend. Gymnasts should bring a snack, lunch, a swim suit, and a towel to camp every day.
Day/Time: Thursdays & Fridays, 4:30-5:30 p.m.

Gymnastics Team Skills Class
Competitive gymnasts wishing to improve their overall skills will benefit from these sessions. Summer Team participants must be current team members, pre-team members, or those invited by team coaches. Check with coaches to see if skill level is appropriate.
Session 1: July 2-August 3 (10 classes)
Day & Time: Monday & Thursday, 5:30-8 p.m.
Fee: $135, Membership Required
This camp is for competitive gymnasts wishing to improve their overall skills. Participants must be currently team members or be invited by team coaches to attend this advanced week of camp. Check with coaches to see if skill level is appropriate for this camp. Gymnasts should bring a snack, lunch, a swim suit, and a towel to camp every day.
Session 1: June 25-29
Session 2: August 13-17
Day & Time: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Fee: $200, Membership Required
This camp is competitive team gymnasts. Each gymnast will work with the coach to set their own goals.
Session 1: August 6-10
Day & Time: Monday-Friday, 1-4 p.m.
Private Gymnastics Lessons
Our coaches can help with perfecting routines, working new skills, and more. lessons can be scheduled by appointment. Private lesson forms are available at the front desk and must be submitted prior to scheduling.
