To our Y Community,
As you may have heard, the state of Maine recently announced an update delaying the reopening of fitness centers and gyms. While this is disappointing to all of us, we look forward to a new reopening date for our indoor facilities once further guidelines are released by the Governor’s Office.
In the meantime, we’re excited to announce that outdoor Y activities are coming your way, including classes, walking groups, and other summer programs. And behind the scenes our staff continues to prepare for your return by implementing CDC guidelines and YMCA best practices to ensure that our Ys prioritize the safety and well-being of our members, staff, and community.
Your continued support has allowed us to be a Y without walls – providing free meals to the community, hosting blood drives, offering childcare to essential workers, and launching virtual fitness classes to keep our members and community active. You are making a difference in our community, and we are so grateful to all of you.
