MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Bethel Keith is a local dance instructor leading group classes in ballet/lyrical, hip hop, and tap for ages 2.5 to adult, as well as private instruction. Upon receiving a BA degree in dance from Dean College, she moved to New York City. There, she choreographed and performed Off Broadway, was part of a hip hop crew, and danced and choreographed for pop artists. She was also an Equity stage manager and taught dance in New Jersey and New York.
This is her philosophy: "It's all about the love. Love, respect, and self-worth. I want each of my students to train in a supportive, loving environment where it's okay to make mistakes and where respect of the arts starts with respect for yourself and others. On the surface it may look like my "job" is to teach dance technique but what I truly strive for is helping each student love themselves so much that what others think isn't important. What is important is self-expression, self-confidence, self-growth and love for your peers," she says.
