The Bath Area Family YMCA is proud to announce the appointment of Will Gunther as its new Chief Operating Officer. A passionate, mission-driven leader, Gunther brings with him a strong record of YMCA leadership, community impact, and a deep commitment to advancing the Y’s mission.

Originally from Tampa, Florida, Gunther holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and is a former college athlete. In 2023, he was recognized nationally by YMCA of the USA’s Emerging Leader Resource Network as one of its prestigious 30 Under 30 honorees, highlighting his impact and potential within the YMCA movement.
Gunther has served in leadership roles across several YMCAs, including Executive Director of the Golden Isles Region YMCAs in Brunswick, GA, and Associate Executive Director of the Grand River Area Family YMCA in Chillicothe, MO. Earlier in his career, he held multiple key positions at the Bonita Springs YMCA in Florida. In each role, he has built transformational partnerships, expanded programming, and strengthened the Y’s role as a trusted community leader in youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
